I live in the best place for outdoor sports and adventures, Guatemala!
Being connected with nature has influenced my love for outdoor activities and adventure like hiking mountains, ice capped mountains, and volcanos.
In many places, but especially in Colombia, Mexico, and Guatemala there are amazing places I have been able to visit like “Cerro de Iguaque,” “El Nevado de Toluca,” or “el Volcán Acatenango” respectively. In my opinion, this last one is one of the most beautiful in Guatemala. When friends come to visit, they always want to go hike it and see the sunrise from the top of the volcano. The most interesting thing about this volcano, that it is inactive, it’s the panoramic view of its neighbor, “Volcán de Fuego” which is active and impressive to see the lava and smoke coming out at any time of the day.
I also scuba dive and practice other water sports like sailing and skiing. I believe that some of the best places for diving are near Guatemala: Roatan, Chetumal and Belize, which together form the second largest coral reef after Australia, where it isn’t difficult to find families of dolphins at the bottom or friendly nurse sharks.
